I knew I wasn’t giving my kids the 'best of the best'.

After 6 years of homeschooling, I knew I wasn’t giving my kids the 'best of the best'. I didn’t want them to turn out like me, a great student who 20 years later, with high school & college diplomas in hand, doesn’t remember much of anything taught.

When we notebook our studies, they remember more. Light bulbs click.  Eyes shine! We have a growing collection of their homeschool journey lining our bookshelves.

This is not how homeschooling was supposed to be!

Our curriculum just isn’t working. My child hates writing. How do I homeschool multiple children and not lose my mind? I’m tired of all this busywork. My child’s not motivated (honestly, I’m not motivated). I need to simplify our day. Would love to add delight-directed learning to our day. My kids aren’t retaining anything. Want something to cement what we are learning. Need more variety in our day. Tired of wasting money on resources we don’t use. Want a more personalized education. Want an easier way to keep track of what we are learning. Kids can’t wait for the school day to FINALLY be over. Want something tangible to help lessons "stick". Want my children to learn, not just pass a test. Want my kids to enjoy learning without having to prod. Feel like we are not getting enough done. We are so bored!

The Doom & Gloom of Homeschooling (Part 1)
We all have days (maybe weeks, months, even years), where we are plain worn out, discouraged, or frustrated with homeschooling. Homeschooling just isn’t working out like we thought it would (or should).
3 Homeschooling Myths that Trapped Me (Part 2)
I have found that the things I am most passionate about are often the things that bring me the most overwhelm. Why? I tend to do everything I can to make my most passionate dreams a success and end up lost ...
The Victory over Busywork and Overwhelm (Part 3)
With these two tools, she said I could completely change the dynamics of how we homeschool. After six years of overwhelm, I was ready to try anything!

We love the ease and fun that notebooking has added to our homeschool. I was unsure about how to get started but read through the getting started article that was sent to me and it made it so much easier. Thank you so much for the quality pages that you make available; even the free ones! :-)

I just love the treasure trove of pages that I've found so far in the notebooking pages [membership]. More importantly, my seven year old daughter gets excited about writing when she sees the newest cute animal, idea or story inspiring page. I'm so very thankful for this sight, it saves me a lot of work and money.

We have really been enjoying the notebooking pages. We like all the different options the pages give us and with the launch of the Notebooking publisher we enjoyed being able to use different fonts and colors for our reports. We have one room where the teacher likes to keep off the lights and that can make it hard to read from a report. In the publisher we can make the font bigger and give it a brighter or darker color which makes it easier to read from.

We also enjoy the various pages for copy work and other reports. My blessing enjoys being able to choose which colors or design to use for her pages. The only problem is that she has a hard time deciding between all the designs so I have to set a time limit on how long she takes to choose one. After that time I tell her I will choose if she cannot. After all we do still have to do school!

I was making my own notebooking pages for our homeschooling and since I purchased the LIFETIME Membership I have saved so much time. Thanks!

I purchased the pages for "Wildflowers, Weeds, and Garden Flowers" and I have one regret--that I didn't order the complete Nature Study set!! (a mistake I intend to remedy soon!)

For each plant featured, the pages include a small color picture, which is nice to help the children identify it in the wild and know how to color it. Then there is such a delightful selection of pages for each species. Older children can draw the plant on one nice big sheet or have lines to write about the plant as well as draw the plant on another sheet. Younger children can just color a large picture of the plant, or color a picture on a page that has just a few lines for journaling.

The set is appropriate for all ages, preschool through high school, and we will be using it with all our children for many years to come.

Notebooking Pages Treasury of notebook pages is the best I have found anywhere on the web. I look at other notebooking sites but this one is the cream of the crop and very versatile!

Last year I hit the wall in my homeschool journey. My children were frustrated and so was I. We were not having the educational experience any of us wanted. I shelved everything for a month and went back to the drawing board. I am incredibly grateful to have found NotebookingPages.com while slogging through the difficult ordeal of revamping our homeschool. I looked through the entire site. I watched the intro video. (I suggest everyone else do the same!) I signed up for the Freebies account, because while it all looked very promising, I didn’t want to spend the money until I’d tried this “notebooking thing.” Boy was I glad I did! I started a study of Chopin and Elephants with my children. They loved it! They loved the “neat pages” to write and draw on. My son who I couldn’t get to write three consecutive sentences, suddenly wanted to write everything he’d learned about elephants. They love using the notebooks I learned to make from the terrific “how to” articles that Debra has written. Suddenly, learning was enjoyable again. I have only one regret when it comes to notebooking, I wish I had known about NotebookingPages.com sooner. I didn’t try notebooking earlier because it always sounded confusing and difficult. Debra and her wonderful site eliminated that concern. I’m thrilled to have access to pages on every subject I could possibly imagine. Thank you for this wonderful site. It is more than worth the price of membership!

I doubted this website the first time I knew it two years ago because I thought it just sold lined paper which I could make it by myself. I was wrong and it was a terrible mistake as I had wasted a lot of time. I should have realised that this website has saved a lot of my time. Therefore I subscribed as a Lifetime Treasury Member. Now we never leave this site in any subject. Kids love it and get more confident in notebooking with the growing collection available. Thank you Debra…

I initially signed up for the freebies to “test the waters” of notebooking. Wow! It has transformed our days!! My kiddos are excited to write (what?!) and seem to really be retaining what they are learning. They are so enthusiastic about their work and to top it off they can’t wait until the end of the day to share with daddy what they have learning! I’m sold! We are now Lifetime Members! Thank You Debra!!

We study history chronologically in our homeschool. As we come to each president in our American History, we stop and spend a day or two learning about him. When we do this, we also do a notebook page on his wife. For this, we love using the Presidential First Ladies Notebooking Pages. My 15 year old daughter picks out which page she likes best and writes her summary on it. My younger children request the coloring picture page to color and add to their notebook. This set has made it very easy to quickly add in the First Lady to our president study, and the variety of pages allows me to use it with different ages of children. We love it!
