I knew I wasn’t giving my kids the 'best of the best'.

After 6 years of homeschooling, I knew I wasn’t giving my kids the 'best of the best'. I didn’t want them to turn out like me, a great student who 20 years later, with high school & college diplomas in hand, doesn’t remember much of anything taught.

When we notebook our studies, they remember more. Light bulbs click.  Eyes shine! We have a growing collection of their homeschool journey lining our bookshelves.

This is not how homeschooling was supposed to be!

Our curriculum just isn’t working. My child hates writing. How do I homeschool multiple children and not lose my mind? I’m tired of all this busywork. My child’s not motivated (honestly, I’m not motivated). I need to simplify our day. Would love to add delight-directed learning to our day. My kids aren’t retaining anything. Want something to cement what we are learning. Need more variety in our day. Tired of wasting money on resources we don’t use. Want a more personalized education. Want an easier way to keep track of what we are learning. Kids can’t wait for the school day to FINALLY be over. Want something tangible to help lessons "stick". Want my children to learn, not just pass a test. Want my kids to enjoy learning without having to prod. Feel like we are not getting enough done. We are so bored!

The Doom & Gloom of Homeschooling (Part 1)
We all have days (maybe weeks, months, even years), where we are plain worn out, discouraged, or frustrated with homeschooling. Homeschooling just isn’t working out like we thought it would (or should).
3 Homeschooling Myths that Trapped Me (Part 2)
I have found that the things I am most passionate about are often the things that bring me the most overwhelm. Why? I tend to do everything I can to make my most passionate dreams a success and end up lost ...
The Victory over Busywork and Overwhelm (Part 3)
With these two tools, she said I could completely change the dynamics of how we homeschool. After six years of overwhelm, I was ready to try anything!

Thank you for making notebooking affordable and accessible. All I have to do is browse and hit print. I do not have the time to make our own design, but for sure the web app is perfect for those who wanted to be creative and design their own notebooking pages to fit their needs.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Debra and her family for all her hard work. We use SWR (Spell to Write and Read) for phonics. I have found her notebooking pages as a wonderful, accessible resource while using SWR. The spelling log, challenge word, grammar pages, and blank pages have all been used here in our home! Thanks so much, Kelly

This is an incredible resource! We’ve moved towards notebooking step by step... started very hands-ons, which easily moved into lapbooking. But with time and age, I started moving the lapbooking into notebooking. And then the foldables often turned into drawings. We still do a bit of all of it, but I like being able to put it all into one notebook... and the kids LOVE to see their work bound at the end of the year. I’ve been creating all the pages myself (the midnight to three a.m. shift!). I am SO GLAD to find all of this available and ready to go... Even more, this allows us the creativity of creating our own pages, without having to start from scratch. I love having less work on my hands, but I wasn’t willing to give up the creativity and originality of the kids. This allows me to have both. Thank you so much!

I purchased my Lifetime Membership over a year and a half ago. I enjoyed the products that were offered and when the lifetime membership came to be, I hopped at the opportunity since I see the value of notebooking and my youngest is currently 8. I actually purchased the Notebooking Publisher and have really enjoyed creating pages for my children to use as well as ones for a class I taught at my local homeschool co-op. The publisher is invaluable to me because I don’t know how to create pages on my own. I love the versatility of these two products and am happy that I have covered in the whole area of notebooking for life. I hope to utilize this resource even more as my children continue with their studies. Thanks for such a great product Debra!

I love the many options to choose from for our notebooking pages. We can choose pages based on our area of study or more generic pages that the kids can choose and use as they like.

After looking at the idea of notebooking for the last two years...we are DOING IT this year! I have looked at your site off and on as well as many others and even contemplated making my own pages for a million different topics but the realization that I came to every time was that the page I would create would be JUST LIKE what I see on your site! The details, the space to write, the different formats for different ages, the massive number of subject areas...the reasons are absolutely endless that I finally committed and bought my Lifetime membership to start using! We are so tired of bookwork alone and this has led all of us to just dread school time and the threats of them having to get on that big yellow bus at the crack of dawn have been flowing more and more freely in our home! With 5 kids...4 of which will be school age this fall I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to introduce this into our schooldays! We can do so much more together and tie in everything I have always wanted to with Music, Science, and History! I am so excited for our new year again and I wanted to tell you thank you so much for allowing me the freedom of not recreating the wheel!!! Anyone on the fence, don’t wait as long as I did! Jump on in...it feels great!!!

I had heard about notebooking for years, but I just KNEW my kids weren’t that into taking notes. As we read history, for instance, I would mention things they needed to write down, and the response was moaning, groaning, and slow motion, then messy, if any notes. Last week, for science, I needed a skeleton page to label, and we had been studying the Explorers. I prayed, talked to my husband, and took the plunge. We purchased the notebooking treasury to save my time. I immediately printed off an Explorers page, a map, and 2 explorers pages each. The pages were met with colored pencils, immediate attention, and almost excitement. Even my 15 yo, who isn’t required with the younger few, sat down and did notes!! Lots of notes. They were engaged, asked spelling, dates, and listened. The 6yo kept up with the others, and had the cutest notes ever!! I’m surprised, and SOLD on notebooking ;)

We bought the notebooking pages [membership] a couple of years ago and love the convenience of them. It seems no matter what we're studying, there is a notebooking page all ready to go and several to choose from. Love the ease of it all.

Thanks for all your hard work, I'll be using these for years to come.

I have Debra's complete collection, a member of Notebooking Pages Treasury, and own Mom's Home Journal. I have to say as a homeschool mom of five these products have helped me tremendously. There is something for everyone. It takes such a burden off me to have this wonderful resource. I have struggled with organization and creativity for years. These products have been a lifesaver from time to time. They have freed up time for me to focus on so many things that demand my attention. Truly a blessing in my life.

I am new to notebooking and I am just amazed at all that is offered on this website not only to help me get started, but also to keep me going for years to come. We’re starting slow, and just using a few of the membership items right now like some history pages, copywork pages and science experiment pages. I look forward to learning more and watching more tutorial videos on this site to help me as we continue on our notebooking and homeschooling journey. Thank you for this valuable resource!!
