I knew I wasn’t giving my kids the 'best of the best'.

After 6 years of homeschooling, I knew I wasn’t giving my kids the 'best of the best'. I didn’t want them to turn out like me, a great student who 20 years later, with high school & college diplomas in hand, doesn’t remember much of anything taught.

When we notebook our studies, they remember more. Light bulbs click.  Eyes shine! We have a growing collection of their homeschool journey lining our bookshelves.

This is not how homeschooling was supposed to be!

Our curriculum just isn’t working. My child hates writing. How do I homeschool multiple children and not lose my mind? I’m tired of all this busywork. My child’s not motivated (honestly, I’m not motivated). I need to simplify our day. Would love to add delight-directed learning to our day. My kids aren’t retaining anything. Want something to cement what we are learning. Need more variety in our day. Tired of wasting money on resources we don’t use. Want a more personalized education. Want an easier way to keep track of what we are learning. Kids can’t wait for the school day to FINALLY be over. Want something tangible to help lessons "stick". Want my children to learn, not just pass a test. Want my kids to enjoy learning without having to prod. Feel like we are not getting enough done. We are so bored!

The Doom & Gloom of Homeschooling (Part 1)
We all have days (maybe weeks, months, even years), where we are plain worn out, discouraged, or frustrated with homeschooling. Homeschooling just isn’t working out like we thought it would (or should).
3 Homeschooling Myths that Trapped Me (Part 2)
I have found that the things I am most passionate about are often the things that bring me the most overwhelm. Why? I tend to do everything I can to make my most passionate dreams a success and end up lost ...
The Victory over Busywork and Overwhelm (Part 3)
With these two tools, she said I could completely change the dynamics of how we homeschool. After six years of overwhelm, I was ready to try anything!

Basic Notebooking Pages are my standard go to! I have other downloads but these are great for our CM homeschool. After reading a book, doing a science experiment or what ever, the Basic Pages have so many different layouts that suite any sort of review. They are quick to print (usually I decide to use after we finish a book) I am not a planner, and that is what is great about them, different styles to suite any need. And they look great when the children are done. Great for samples for our portfolio, they look like a lot of time was invested in them.

We have 10 dc so for simplicity- go with the Basic Notebooking Pages. LOVE 'em

I just had to stop by and say that I recently purchased the Ancient Egypt notebooking pages and we love them! We use My Father's World curriculum and we are studying "creation to the Greeks" and these pages have been a wonderful asset to MFW. My kids range in ages: 10, 8, 6, and 4 and there is a page that fits each child's age. Thank you so much for making quality pages at affordable prices.

I purchased the "explorers" notebooking pages and we've been studying explorers since November. My 4th grader loves to fill the pages out with a picture and about 5 sentences of important facts. My 1st grader, is not a very good writer so the notebooking page with 3-4 pictures and 3 big squares next to the pictures work great for her! We're all able to enjoy history together and actively participate in learning thanks to your notebooking pages that are made appropriately for different levels!

I love the many options to choose from for our notebooking pages. We can choose pages based on our area of study or more generic pages that the kids can choose and use as they like.

I initially signed up for the freebies to “test the waters” of notebooking. Wow! It has transformed our days!! My kiddos are excited to write (what?!) and seem to really be retaining what they are learning. They are so enthusiastic about their work and to top it off they can’t wait until the end of the day to share with daddy what they have learning! I’m sold! We are now Lifetime Members! Thank You Debra!!

I wish I had found this site earlier! I signed up in the spring of 2012 and have used lots of pages since then! My five boys enjoy having ready made pages that are nice looking for their copy work! Makes copy work more bearable. My 5th grader is working through Intermediate Language Lessons and when he writes a story I type it into the Publisher and create a lovely page for him to add to his notebook. We use My Father’s World curriculum and this year as we studied Creation to the Greeks we found many beautiful and helpful pages to write summaries of Bible characters on in the free Bible pages. The animal copy work pages are just right for writing the morals from Aesop’s Fables. Anytime we need pages to copy memory verses or things from Language Lessons, it’s there. Or we can make it using the Publisher.

I first looked into NotebookingPages.Com when we started our Bird studies. I found out that they had a package for North American Birds. With the joy of how easy those pages were to use, I purchased the Presidents package next.

What makes Notebooking Pages better than your blank journal notebook?

Switching from a Worksheet based learning to Notebooking? These pre-created pages with beautiful images will help your student transition. Pages come with pictures, lines, and blocks to fill in what they have learned. It gives the structure for your student to know how much is ‘enough’ to write or draw. Giving a child used to worksheets a blank paper and asking them to ‘narrate what they learned’ is a bit overwhelming for most.

Starting a new theme or era? Having a Notebooking Page printed out and handy will give a frame for your narrators to build upon. I have one son who will fill out every section of the entire page. I have another who prefers to use the blank page as a guide as he uses his blank journal page. I prefer to use the NotebookingPages.Com page myself.

Need to work or volunteer outside of the home while the children work? You could have their reading assignments given and then have the NotebookingPages.com sheets printed out. This way they will know what to write. You could even print in a few key questions for them or jot down a few vocabulary words for them to look up.

I can’t tell you how comforting it is to know that we have access to the hundreds, if not thousands of pages at a moments notice. We used quite a few for our Ancients Study, for our Middle Ages study and for our Composers and Artists Studies.

As a family with a limited income I want to thank you for the freebies you offer. We started with the Basic Lined Paper, then moved to some other pages such as George Washington. Your designs and illustrations are beautiful and they encourage our children to write and explore their education in a fun and creative manner.

Notebooking Pages is wonderful. So many ideas and options. Oh, to have enough printer ink and time to do them all! Debra’s work is terrific, and on so many themes and ideas. Definitely something for everyone.

I purchased the complete set of notebooks on cd when we first started homeschooling a few years ago. I have enjoyed them. They are very helpful in the fact that they give my children's work some color and give them even more to be creative with. I have tried other free items since and really enjoyed them. Thank you.
