I knew I wasn’t giving my kids the 'best of the best'.

After 6 years of homeschooling, I knew I wasn’t giving my kids the 'best of the best'. I didn’t want them to turn out like me, a great student who 20 years later, with high school & college diplomas in hand, doesn’t remember much of anything taught.

When we notebook our studies, they remember more. Light bulbs click.  Eyes shine! We have a growing collection of their homeschool journey lining our bookshelves.

This is not how homeschooling was supposed to be!

Our curriculum just isn’t working. My child hates writing. How do I homeschool multiple children and not lose my mind? I’m tired of all this busywork. My child’s not motivated (honestly, I’m not motivated). I need to simplify our day. Would love to add delight-directed learning to our day. My kids aren’t retaining anything. Want something to cement what we are learning. Need more variety in our day. Tired of wasting money on resources we don’t use. Want a more personalized education. Want an easier way to keep track of what we are learning. Kids can’t wait for the school day to FINALLY be over. Want something tangible to help lessons "stick". Want my children to learn, not just pass a test. Want my kids to enjoy learning without having to prod. Feel like we are not getting enough done. We are so bored!

Take a peek into my homeschool story.

The Doom & Gloom of Homeschooling (Part 1)
We all have days (maybe weeks, months, even years), where we are plain worn out, discouraged, or frustrated with homeschooling. Homeschooling just isn’t working out like we thought it would (or should).
3 Homeschooling Myths that Trapped Me (Part 2)
I have found that the things I am most passionate about are often the things that bring me the most overwhelm. Why? I tend to do everything I can to make my most passionate dreams a success and end up lost ...
The Victory over Busywork and Overwhelm (Part 3)
With these two tools, she said I could completely change the dynamics of how we homeschool. After six years of overwhelm, I was ready to try anything!

We study history chronologically in our homeschool. As we come to each president in our American History, we stop and spend a day or two learning about him. When we do this, we also do a notebook page on his wife. For this, we love using the Presidential First Ladies Notebooking Pages. My 15 year old daughter picks out which page she likes best and writes her summary on it. My younger children request the coloring picture page to color and add to their notebook. This set has made it very easy to quickly add in the First Lady to our president study, and the variety of pages allows me to use it with different ages of children. We love it!

I just purchased the [LIFETIME] Membership for my three children, in 1st, 2nd and 4th grades. My 2nd grader recently asked me what I knew about volcanoes (not as much as I'd like to admit) so we gathered several books and printed off many styles of notebooking pages from the Nature Study section. They had a great time, and already have a list of the next topics of study that they each want to do. Normally we would check out a book about volcanoes at the library and that would be that. This way, they practiced penmanship, learned vocabulary words, and have many illustrated pages that they have continued to add to. We all had fun and learned a lot. Thanks!

I love notebookingpages.com. We started out using the ABC books and have moved up as my children get older. We now use the history pages with our Story of the World studies. We use the science sheets to keep up with experiments with Apologia. One of the things I like most about the pages is that you can use them in so many ways and with so many programs! I love too that I can hope on and print out EXACTLY what I need…like the president pages that we used to study through all the presidents! Recently Debra added a program to write your own copywork sheets in CURSIVE!!! No more buying copybooks that “aren’t quite right!” Now I can make my own and have exactly what we need (with pictures too!!) I cannot wait to get started. We benefit in some many ways from these pages and I appreciate NOT having to do the work! :)

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your products!!! I stumbled upon your website a couple of years back, and ended up ordering the complete set of notebooking pages. It has become a staple item in our homeschooling! What a valuable resource! Whenever I need a page for something, be it math, spelling, etc., all I have to do is go to my membership of notebooking pages, browse, and print what I need!!! No more frustration of searching the internet for hours on end only to find something that isn't what I was looking for. Your products are JUST what we need - EVERY TIME!!!! I cannot recommend your website enough!!!! Thank you so much for what you do - you are a Godsend! :-)

I am a lifetime member and recently purchased Notebooking Pages. I look forward to incorporating more notebooking into our daily lessons. Her notebooking pages will save me hours of searching online or preparation time. I have plans to use the nature study, history, character study, composer, and states pages so far. The list is never-ending. Notebooking possibilities are endless now with Notebooking Publisher. I can’t wait to find the time to try it soon! Her pages are beautiful and professional looking. It is a wonderful tool to make learning come alive.

Thank you Debra for putting together the papers I’ve always wanted! And for continuing to add more great pages every year! It’s so comforting knowing that I have a lifetime membership and I don’t have to worry about the computer crashing, misplacing the floppy or disk drive, and losing the original, because It has happened more than once!! Years ago when I was only homeschooling two, it was no problem staying creative and organized. After the fifth child, who happens to have major medical issues, and becoming primary caregiver to my parents who suddenly acquired major medical problems within a 6 week period, I just don’t have time for creative and organized. With NotebookingPages.com, I don’t have to choose! I can be creative and organized because you do it for me! <3 <3 <3

This website was recommended on a forum I frequent. I checked it out because I had just started using Tapestry of Grace and wanted some ideas. It was great to find out several of pages were free! I especially like the Basic pages - they are so versatile. I can't wait to use more of the history pages as we proceed through future years in Tapestry of Grace! Thanks for such a helpful tool in making learning more fun!

I recently joined the treasury and am absolutely stunned by what it includes! I think the treasury is the best value resource available and cant wait for the 2011 school year to start so I can start using the beautifully designed pages. Thanks also for aligning some of your history pages with Tapestry of Grace...you have just made my year so much easier and my kids learning a lot more fun!
