I knew I wasn’t giving my kids the 'best of the best'.

After 6 years of homeschooling, I knew I wasn’t giving my kids the 'best of the best'. I didn’t want them to turn out like me, a great student who 20 years later, with high school & college diplomas in hand, doesn’t remember much of anything taught.

When we notebook our studies, they remember more. Light bulbs click.  Eyes shine! We have a growing collection of their homeschool journey lining our bookshelves.

This is not how homeschooling was supposed to be!

Our curriculum just isn’t working. My child hates writing. How do I homeschool multiple children and not lose my mind? I’m tired of all this busywork. My child’s not motivated (honestly, I’m not motivated). I need to simplify our day. Would love to add delight-directed learning to our day. My kids aren’t retaining anything. Want something to cement what we are learning. Need more variety in our day. Tired of wasting money on resources we don’t use. Want a more personalized education. Want an easier way to keep track of what we are learning. Kids can’t wait for the school day to FINALLY be over. Want something tangible to help lessons "stick". Want my children to learn, not just pass a test. Want my kids to enjoy learning without having to prod. Feel like we are not getting enough done. We are so bored!

The Doom & Gloom of Homeschooling (Part 1)
We all have days (maybe weeks, months, even years), where we are plain worn out, discouraged, or frustrated with homeschooling. Homeschooling just isn’t working out like we thought it would (or should).
3 Homeschooling Myths that Trapped Me (Part 2)
I have found that the things I am most passionate about are often the things that bring me the most overwhelm. Why? I tend to do everything I can to make my most passionate dreams a success and end up lost ...
The Victory over Busywork and Overwhelm (Part 3)
With these two tools, she said I could completely change the dynamics of how we homeschool. After six years of overwhelm, I was ready to try anything!

I was looking for something different for our homeschool because what we were using just didn’t quite fit. I searched and found Notebooking Pages. It is such a wonderful site. The notebooking pages that they have are wonderful for many different subjects and ages, and their notebooking instructions and videos are very helpful. I feel like this website has added something wonderful to our homeschooling day. Thank you Notebooking Pages!

The Mom's Home Journal is a fantastic resource! I just love mine. The cover is personalized or seasonal if I want it to be, and it contains only the pages that are helpful to me. Some content is changeable before printing, and others I just print out. I've sectioned my large 3-ring binder, but it would be very nice to have smaller books as well.

We have many of the notebooking resources and I love having topical pages for the children's writing that they can color if they wish. I love that the older children have tighter spacing, and younger ones have space to draw with only a few lines to fill with words. Pages or segments can easily fit into notebooking or lapbooking with the children.

I also love the freebies from time to time! I have used notebooking pages for stationary, recipe cards for to-do lists or pretty shopping lists for my sweetheart, and have used many of the cards for thank-yous. The first thing I backed up after recovering from a computer crash on the external hard-drive was my extensive collection of NotebookingPages.com!

I'm a busy mom and after 10 years of homeschooling this is my all-time-favorite homeschooling website.

I use the Basic Notebooking Pages as a review. The children tell me everything they remember about a subject we have studied. I write it down on the notebooking page. Then they draw a picture in the space provided, which gives me an even better idea of how much they retained. It gives me a very kid friendly gauge of how much they learned.

We are loving notebooking! Let me just say it has completely changed our school for the better. Now the girls are really excited to "do school". I was about to give up even though I knew it was what God wanted us to do. School was just drudgery. This has breathed new life into our home and days. How could something so simple provide such relief? If you can't enjoy what you are doing, then, what is the point? We are so happy to be notebooking.

I wish I could remember how I was initially introduced to notebooking. I believe I Providentially stumbled upon this website for it has been the springboard for major changes in our home.

After almost a decade of homeschooling, I knew what I wanted our schooling to look like, but at the same time I knew it was looking less and less like my vision. When I discovered these notebooking pages, I decided to use the freebies offered to try it out with my children. They didn't really notice a difference at first, so I began substituting some of our "independent" work with more notebooking pages. I was so pleased with the outcome. My children were becoming masters of the material we studied!

I was sold! I purchased the Notebooking Pages Treasury during the Fall Sale and took advantage of the other bonuses offered. I asked for the Epi Kardia curriculum for Christmas and was again very pleased.

My children were not as optimistic as I was about starting "another new curriculum." I was so pleased yesterday to hear my oldest son comment, "Is this what we're going to do more of? This is really fun!" I am now spending time reading all those wonderful books with my children, exploring the volumes of creative notebooking pages for ways to express what we've learned, and sharing it all with excitement to Daddy when he comes home. What a blessing this has been for our family.

The key to our successful transition to notebooking was the wonderfully helpful emails that I received the first couple weeks after my registration on the website. Each email walked me through the process of incorporating these into our schooling. Without that I would have been too overwhelmed to know where to start. Instead it was an exciting process and a gradual (more permanent) transition.

Thank you again for blessing our family!

I LOVE the Famous Composers notebooking pages! I especially appreciate the photograph or drawing of each composer and the listed dates of their birth and death. Having six children, I also really appreciate that each of the notebooking pages sets include primary-lined and regular-lined formats to choose from to find one that is best suited for each child. Famous Composers notebooking pages works well with Zeezok Publishing's Composers biography book series. Excellent Product! Thank you!

As a homeschooling mom for 8 years now this is the most comprehensive and well done site for notebooking and lapbooking pages I have found anywhere on the web. I was so delighted when I found your site Debra and my children love the lessons we are doing with the pages. I just bought the entire lifetime membership because it is so worth the money!! This saves me so much time and effort, I could just kiss your face. If you are a first year homeschooler or a long time homeschool mom you will appreciate the collection here.

I’m so thankful that Debra has made this resource available. It’s easy to use, saves time and my kids love the pages. I’m also getting a lot of mileage out of Mom’s Toolbelt. No more miscellaneous drawer!

We use your USA State Geography notebooking pages and we love them! I have used notebook pages from other sites for previous State studies, but yours far surpass any others I have used. These notebooking pages are wonderful because they include so much beyond the usual flag, motto and map pages. I love the inclusion of inventors and travel pages. We also love the various page layouts included for each activity, since each of my children are different learners. Thank you so much for this wonderful resource! It is great to have everything we need for our State studies available in one package!

I love notebookingpages.com. We started out using the ABC books and have moved up as my children get older. We now use the history pages with our Story of the World studies. We use the science sheets to keep up with experiments with Apologia. One of the things I like most about the pages is that you can use them in so many ways and with so many programs! I love too that I can hope on and print out EXACTLY what I need…like the president pages that we used to study through all the presidents! Recently Debra added a program to write your own copywork sheets in CURSIVE!!! No more buying copybooks that “aren’t quite right!” Now I can make my own and have exactly what we need (with pictures too!!) I cannot wait to get started. We benefit in some many ways from these pages and I appreciate NOT having to do the work! :)
