I have been browsing over at curriclick and seeing some of the Math notebooks but I'm not really ready to purchase them not really understanding how they would work. Has anyone worked with notebooks for math, and what would that look like?

Karole, some of the math notebooking pages for sale at Currclick are mine. I posted an album with pictures of some pages completed by my children here:

Basically, you use the pages to collect facts about certain math topics in one place, and create visuals to show those facts. The notebook then becomes a reference tool for the child when they need to look up formulas, etc.
Jimmie also has a Squidoo page on math notebooking that has a lot of great ideas.

I've got a better idea now. I just finished 1st grade with my son so a lot of our math this year was dedicated to learning the addition/subtraction facts so probably not a lot of notebooking work there. definately have my brain juices turning for this coming year.
I also created a math notebooking board on Pinterest with lots of visual inspiration: http://pinterest.com/amtell/math-notebooking/![]()
