    lines and spaces

just wondering--would you ever consider alternative widths for your primary page products, ones that would be more suited to modern manuscript? The width on the Notebooking Pages' primary pages is best for traditional manuscript. I would use the pages daily for my little ones if the width wasn't impacting penmenship. Also, my older kids wished the "regular" pages came in "college-ruled", because they want to get more on one page....

That being said, this isn't a major issue;we sucessfully use the site all the time. But the options would be greatly utilized...at least around here.
    Thank you

    Hi Gloria & rroseann,

I am considering this for some of our most used sets, like the Basic Lined Notebooking Pages. To be honest, the lines have never been an issue with any of my kids (we don't use the primary-lined pages very often though), so it hasn't been something I really ever considered. The kids didn't do much of their own writing for their notebooks until their handwriting was proficient. We have a free download in our "Freebies/Basic" section for "Primary Lined Notebooking Paper" with varying widths. Can you tell me which (if any) of these is best for the type of manuscript you are using?

Thanks for the reply. Well, actually i just tried to measure the lines. On the basic the width is 11/16, which isn't bad, but for beginners, I'd prefer 1/2 inch. I know that seems very picky (maybe I am, but I could tell the difference with all of mine). For slightly older, 3/8 is pretty good; there is one of these on the basic free set. I would love to use 3/8 dotted for any of the notebooking/ history/ science/ etc sets for the 1-3 grade range, or even older kids who may have slipped into some bad handwriting habits. My K child LOVES the borders on the primary pages, asks me to let him use them every day, but honestly the letter formation is more consistant with the 1/2 inch. I've used some of the pages from free guest hollow, more of which have the spacing I like, so it's not like there isn't anything (free) available, but I just thought I'd ask Notebooking.com pages are really good quality and cover so many topics. We still use many of the pages quite successfully and will continue to do so, but this would be nice. Also for the regular non-dotted lined pages, some with not so much space between them would be good for high schoolers--just a thought.

    Thanks again.
