We use Saxon Math, and although it is easily self-taught, it is bland. The posted ideas of pieces in a pocket or pictures that show a new idea really excite me to help my children enjoy their math lesson. Also, 1/2 square graph paper printed on the backside of their notebooking page helps them write their problems neatly and in columns, especially for decimal placement!!!! These ideas make math fun!
